What would you do - responses

We aimed to gather a comprehensive set of responses from the people of Manchester on some of the key topics rasied in the NHS Long Term Plan.

Key findings

  • Most commented on topics were "Timely access to treatment and support, reviews and health checks" and "Healthy and active lifestyles"
  • Key themes included
    • Appointment times
    • A week wait is too long
    • Waiting lists
    • Check-ups
    • Mental health
    • Location - distance 

Conclusions

  • People wanted their relationships with professionals to be clear and honest. 
  • Many respondents rating having time to talk with their professionals
  • People want their concerns to be taken seriously with long waiting times giving some the message their illness was of low priority. 
  • People felt technology could be a positive solution to identified problems in the healthcare system.
