Bolton Neighbourhood Engagement - Feedback on Workforce Behaviours

Across the area of Bolton one of the topics considered important for staying healthy was workforce behaviour/ We held neighbourhood workshops and this report contains all the comments we collected at the workshop so that they can be considered.

Summary:

In total 48 comments were made about workforce/service provider behaviours.  The main themes of which are:

  • Communication
  • Inconsistency
  • Top down culture
  • Gate keeping and handovers
  • Disconnect
  • Trust and relationships
  • Timeliness
  • Morale

Conclusions:

Inconsistencies with information and service provision were seen to be key frustrations within the neighbourhoods.  This along with working in a top down approach were seen as reasons as to why people were struggling to take ownership of their health and well-being.

Individuals also felt more emphasis should be placed on professionals building and maintaining trusting relationships with individuals which would help in all aspects of health and well-being management.
