People's Perceptions of Virtual Heath Care

Having health care appointments over the telephone or video is not always straightforward. For some people these types of appointment suit them very well, by being convenient meaning less travel and child care issues.

But for others they presented some problems. We explored the experiences of people who had these types of appointments to find out their views.

People told us that:

  • they struggled with the technology
  • that phone calls were not always made in the time stated
  • quality of sound and video was problematic
  • environment not always suitable to take the calls
